L-3 Partners with NYU-Poly to Speed Innovative Research in Cybersecurity RESTON, Va., December 13, 2012 – L-3’s National Security Solutions (NSS) Group announced today that it has formed an agreement in cybersecurity research and development with the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-Poly). NYU-Poly is designated as a National Security Agency/Department of Homeland Security (NSA/DHS) Center of Academic Excellence in information assurance education and research. By partnering with leading academic institutions such as NYU-Poly, L-3 NSS continues its focus on cybersecurity solutions. “L-3 has decades of experience in protecting data and networks for military, intelligence and civil government customers. In forming this partnership with NYU-Poly, our primary purpose is to speed the delivery of innovative solutions that help keep the nation ahead of approaching cyber threats,” said Les Rose, president of L-3 NSS. “Our customers handle massive quantities of data, and this flow of information needs to remain secure without slowing down end-users, wherever they are located.
